Hi, new here. I'm not sure what species this represents. Anyhow, my question was related to placement. Currently, it sits 20" below a 250 watt 14K, moderate flow. I placed it in the bright location due to the coloration. However, I have noticed that the corallites on the side of the piece, that are slightly shaded, aremore expanded than the others. Should I move this under an overhang or in indirect light? Thanks.

Not a Platygyra.....the ridges separate the polyps on your coral, and on a platygyra, they do not.
