Hey there,
Yes, that is a chilli coral. I'm surprised that you haven't been able to find any info on them. Chilli corals (in my experience) are pretty hardy, they require a placement in the tank that is dim, like in a cave, and extend white polyps to catch particulate matter for feeding. I had a chilli coral melt on me once, I took most of it out of my tank and didn't catch a little piece that had fallen off. A few months later I was surprised to find a nice 1 inch stock growing out of the substrate back behind all of my rock. I was told that they prefer lower light and flow. I know it's not a ton of info, but hopefully that helps a bit. Maybe someone else can chime in with some hard facts??
