i ordered some conches and was sent this some guys say its a whelk ... can someone pls tell me if reef safe or what

looks like a nassarius, see the eyestalks? Im not so great at IDs though, someone else will chime in im sure. Does he bury himself in the sand?

Never seen anything like it but I am sure someone will chime in and help you out.
Looks nice hope it is safe.

yes it digs down in sand and hid little antenna as to say sticks out ... is it safe

I also vote for Nassarius, and I have many in my tank. Great little snails.

That is neither conch or whelk. You can tell by the shape of the shell. It looks like a Nas.

Looks like one of my "Tongan Nassarius" snails. These guys are so fast for their size. Good eaters of leftover foods.

Another vote for Nassarius. One of my favorite. They're like me. Stay hidden until it's time to eat. LOL
