It's 1/4 inch acrylic with a 1&1/4 inch long post WELDON 3 'ed to the disk!
It sinks pretty fast!
So to answer your question, NO!
If you look close you can see the little rectangle post on it!
Gonna go get some acrylic rods tomorrow at KELTECH plasctics for round post on bottom!
These will work perfect for egg crate!

.

Your pretty excited aren't you!!!!!!

LOL very funny, My wife's idea , she HATES the white ones and wanted to make clear ones so she didn't have to look at the bright white ones in the tank!

Its an excellent idea by your wife Adam. Its true how those white ones stick out when its new. I had to put some of my disk in my tank so it can grow algae on it and it wont stay bright white. Now it blends with the rocks.

I was thinking of puting the regular plugs in my sump till I glue frags to them so they are covered but SHE wants to make a bunch of these!
I gotta keep momma happy! And I like it!
And it gives me something to do this weekend!!

final product
with round posts

oh and with the $7 of material I can make about 100 more and a little bit of weldon 3 which it only takes two drops per plug
Just a wood hole saw a jig saw for the round rod and a dremel with a round sanding bit and about 1 1/2 hours.
The dremel makes the edges smooth and the ends of the rods flat for gluing!!
