PSAS Holiday Party 2007

Mark your calendars for the PSAS Holiday Party, December 15th, 2007,
2:00 PM. This will be at my house in Puyallup, WA, near the fairgrounds.

That's the 3rd Saturday.
Come early; stay late!
This will be a potluck dinner.

I've heard rumors there may even be live music!
There will also be a Gift Exchange if you'd care to participate.
We could make this a 'frag' exchange.
The *trading* of the gifts could be a lot of fun.

Hope everyone can make it and I'll do my best to have power this year!

We will do a gift exchange, just like last year, the stealing from each other way... how's that work again? I'm getting senile. So just bring something unisex, and coral or fish is fine I guess because people will have the option to steal it if they really want it.

Potluck style, club will bring sliced ham and all the paper products and non-alcoholic drinks. FYI: The board decided a few years back that at club sanctioned events we will no longer purchase alcohol for liability reasons. However we can't control what you grown up members choose to drink at someone else's house.

That sounds like alot of fun- I love social events where you can talk fish! To bad I need to be in WI by the 18th I may try to sneak over then drive to WI in 2- 12hr days otherwise I guess I will have to catch everyone next time

hmmmm, Dang playing guitar, Ed dancing, stealing frags...sounds good to me. But watch out for Vicki's giant martini glass. I don't think you are supposed to drink that!

hey Colleen, how do we do that on RF? Is there some way to start an editable post so that when people sign up for something, the first post accumulates the entires?

I dont think so.... probably a seperate thread with peoplelisting what they plan to bring.

Sides and salads would be great.

SO we are plagued by power problems anyway... our fancy digital Kitchen Aid superba convection oven just died with my BIRD IN IT! From what I read it's the digital display that needs to be replaced. I also read it will just start working in 20 - 25 minutes and to keep checking.

Ok it reset... lol... no need to rush food over. We're hoping to works long enough to finish the bird.

Do you mean a "white elephant" kind of exchange? Those are always fun.

I think we drew numbers to see who started; then the next could steal and so on. There were a variety of fish and nonfish related items. I think Jonathon ended up with an alleged fish trap; but we thought it would be better for other uses.

Tell you what. Because its so close to christmas I will show my holiday spirit and let everyone go first and I will go last .

Fish trap my butt. It's hanging on my tank room wall so that new visitors can look at it and wonder.

Our Amana oven died too. I paid a fortune for that stupid thing and it has never worked right from the start. And you know what Amana's advice to me was? To call a local repairman. I told them I am going to get rid of it and buy an import oven. Maybe the Germans or Italians can make an oven that works??
