R/O unit question

How do you make a R/O unit more effective?

I have a 5 stage R/O DI unit that is rated for 100 GPD. My PSI is at 40 and it makes about 60-80 GPD. Seems to waste a ton of water.

How could you make it have less waste and more GPD?

The proper setting is about 3 parts of waste water to one part of RODI water according to the filter guys, I always just have the waste water drain into the washer so it is not all wasted.

Booster pump and a second membrane. I'd switch to a dow filmtec 75gpd x2 with a booster pump to get it up to 65psi at the membrane. Almost no waste and no time to make enough water for a big water change.

The dual membrane was the best addon Ive done but I didnt need a booster pump. Try the filter guys.
