I was out of the hobby for a year after moving up to Washington and I got the itch to get back in a few months ago. The 55 I had had a crack in the rim so I upgraded to a 75 and did some cleaning and staining of the stand and painted the background blue and now it has been cycling for a few weeks. I tested the water a few days ago and it's ready to go!

Here are some pics of it along the way.
Here is what it looked like when I bought it:

I have some red mushrooms in there that a guy gave me. He gave it to me so that I could get some coralline agae in the tank since I used all base rock. That's it for livestock. My first purchases/additions will be from the Bob Moore Frag Swap in Tacoma.

From there I plan on adding either a pair of BW clownfish or a pair of Snowflake clownfish and my CUC.

I have 4x54w T5's on there (though the other unit is MIA as a measurement for a hood I'm having someone build for me)
I have a Koralia 4 and a Kevo 1050, Eshopps PF-1000 overflow box. 29 gallon sump, PCI PS-2000 skimmer, TLF phosban reactor and a gen-x 2400 return pump.
I think that's everything I've got running right now.
Looking forward to getting some fish and coral to add some life to the tank!

That is looking sweet! What are your plans for coral? Soft coral, leathers, lps? Eventually sps?

Love the rockwork, plenty of room for corals!
Thanks. It didn't come out exactly as I had it set up during the dry run but it's close enough.

I am looking at doing a mixed reef. I would like to do some SPS eventually but only a select few that I will really enjoy.
I am mostly interested in zoas and leathers. Looking for some frogspawn and maybe some torches or hammers but not sure.

Here are some top down pics of what the rockwork looks like.

Looks great! Love how you left room in the back for flow to prevent deadspots. Not very many people pay attention to that. :)

Thanks Seattlereef and Krish for the comments!

No nothing too new. Tested the water again today:
Temp: 76
SG: 1.025
pH: 8.2
Ammonia: 0
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: 5

I turned the lights on yesterday and today for the first time since my tank was cycling. I do have a bunch of cladonema or hydroids on my glass right now. There are more and more every day I come into work. I'll get coral at the frag swap on Saturday and then I'll probably head up to Shark Reef to get a pair of BW clowns or Snowflake clowns...we'll see.

Great setup
Welcome to RF.
It is obvious you are not a rookie!
Can we see what it looks like under the tank?

I wouldn't say that I'm not a rookie! But thanks for the kind words!!!
It's not that pretty under the stand but here's some photos I just took. I'm mixing some fresh saltwater right now so the extension cord coming out of the front isn't usually there. Also the water bottle hangs from a hook as my ATO...LOL ghetto I know but it works for now! Oh yeah...don't forget the florescent light hanging from zip ties attached to wall hooks! :clap2:
Here is the whole thing:

That's it! Not fancy but everything is spread out enough that I can work under there. I have a little bit of sand down there that was used to speed up the cycle (it was course and I have sugar sand in my display so I I didn't want to mix) and some rock rubble for just a bit more filtration (for the fun of it!).

A whole lot of stuff I picked up at the Bob Moore frag swap. There's a couple more things I have but they are still pretty grumpy and haven't opened up enough to take good pictures of them. Not great pictures but for a camera phone they turned out quite nice.

Thanks. I'm a hobbyist on a budget so I do what I can to make it all work.
Right now I'm moving my coral all round the tank trying to make everything happy. So far everything has opened up nicely with the toadstool being the exception but it was also very recently fragged so I'm doing my best not to worry about it. The one that seems to be the most obvious in it's happiness is my frogspawn. It looked good yesterday but today it looks even bigger like it's really spreading itself out.

Now that the lights have been on for a while I'm really seeing a slow but steady algae bloom coming on so my next purchase is a clean up crew.

I picked up a nice clean up crew and they seem to be doing great!

On Sunday I came in and found the smaller of the two clowns dead, so last night I picked up a new one from the store but both places I went didn't have a regular ocellaris but the second place I went had what they called black bar ocellaris. I picked one up and it wasn't until I did some extensive research that I am pretty sure it is a Caramel Ocellaris. I love the colors on this guy! He also has some great personality and is giving the other clown a more active personality as well. They are WAY fun to watch now.

I also picked up an Emerald Crab last night as I found some bubble algae on a frag I got so I'm hoping he'll take care of that stuff.

Here is a pic and video:

That pic was with lights out in the tank and my office fluorescents on. I currently have 2x54w T5 on there with another one at a guys house that is building my hood. He went traveling for two months and just got back. I forgot to pick up the lights from him before he left. I think I have a pic of it polyped up but if not I'll, post one of it.

Must have posted the toadstool up on PSAS and not in here.
