I need a little help here. I got some chao algae from my lfs and got a extra supprise with it. a small fluffy ball of red algae. this quickly took over the refugium and chao. In my attemps to remove this algae I have now spread it to the main display tank:oops: and now it is spreading quickly.
I saw a hermit crab eat a small amount of it one day but I need a good solution before it overgrows all the corals.
Has anyone has this algae before?? I do not over feed and have never seen algae grow this fast before.
any ideas would be helpfull.

Its fast stuff
Suck it out and keep sucking it out.
It will subside. It usualy grows in cycles. Slow up on your feeding or your additives that is fueling it.
