I am looking for mod suggestions on an original Red Sea Max 130. The water temp is getting too high. I am looking for cooling fans for the lights and the extra optional water surface-cooling fan. Any one else, that has one of these units, have issues with the water temp getting too high? What mods did you make to help with this issue?
It is starting its cycle and I am getting brown algae, but I cant put a clean up crew in with temps hitting 83 deg.

Thanks

The inline computer fans that clip to the top of the tank work great. I got mine from Ebay.

Ohh this has nothing to do with the light though. Seperate unit.

I changed the light on mine but I did install this fan which works great, maybe you could mod something like this.

It looks like you have your hood propped up also. I think I will have to do that. Where did you get the pieces that it is propped up with?

OH, forget what I said. I just saw the last pic. You took the entire hood off yours and put new lighting on it. Did you cover the back area with anything? Special cut a piece of plexi?
