i wanted to know what people think about the red sea max nano
and if any one has one for sale for very very cheap

Welcome to RF!! :D I've never seen one in person, but I was checking them out recently on Premium Aquatics website and they seem pretty cool with the all in one package. I like how it comes with a timer built in etc. Not sure who may have one for sale, but maybe you can check the equipment for sale forum here. Good luck!:)

I just bought one. I have just put sand into the tank and tonight I will add LR. I love it so far. Great looking tank and so far it is running perfectly.

thanks but i have been hearing somthing about the lights and wasnt sure if they would be a problem

Not sure what you have heard. But so far I have had no problems with the lights.

Curious, what have you heard.

ive read that there is no such thing as t5 power compacts and that it might not be able to support some corals
i didnt under stand what it mean because i am fairly new to the hobby so i wanted to find out before i bought mine

Hi,

This tank has 2 55 watt power compacts! T-5's are a different type of light. (T-5's are brighter more intense)

This (Power Compacts) would be considered low lighting. Maybe at the top of the tank close to medium--Maybe!

Some corals will be o.k.( leathers, zooanthids,)
http://www.aquacon.com/Begcorals.htm with this amount of light.

Some will defenitely not be !! (Anenome's Acropora)

There are exceptions of cource

It all depends on what you want in this tank!

If you don't know then try finding out what types of coarls you like first. Then how much light they need to thrive not just survive!

I hope this explains thing's

:)

Paul
