Red Sea Max

Does anybody own a Red Sea Max? If so, have you had any troubles with these tanks. I am so sorry I spent the money on this tank, I can not keep the tempeture steady, I contantly have air bubble shooting from the return values back into the tank, and now I am having trouble keeping the water clear (although that last one i my own fault, I let the tank sit for over a year with no water changes or no maintanence).

If anyone has pictures, I would love to see your tanks.

Run some carbon to clear up the water. Ive been using a submersable reactor for my carbon but you can also use a mesh bag or something in a high flow area.

Im not sure exactly of the system but i would try and get the sump/filter areas water level up some if possible. does it have a skimmer ? they are nice looking tanks tbh.

might try some different locations for your heater if your using one. might just be in an area that stays to hot or cold and its not kicking on ?

Red Sea

Remove the sponges in the filter; this will keep the pumps from blowing air.

I had this one running for a while, it takes a few tricks to get it going but they are constructed very well when you compare to the others.
RS has a dedicated thread just for them.
