you would think they would want hobbyist to grow and trade so if they ever need corals to repopulate an area they could get them from hobbyist.

Wow....only 8 views. Thought more might be interested in seeing this.

Ya I look at those aquablogs and such every now and again for some fish news.
Not a lot of ppl visit the waterhole?

Hey Scampy, I moved this thread over to the 'General Discussion' forum as is a Reef related topic and will get better attention here.

Cheers, Todd

Doih. Almost forgot or didn't notice u was a mod.
Imagine that.

Thread related: I hear acropora isn't legal to keep in some places such as hawaii.
Which I can understand. Its such a fragile animal and so few know how to take care of it.

They can have my coral when they pry my cold, dead fingers from it. Man, first the tang police, now the montipora police. What's next? FBI, Frag Bureau of Investigation.

That's absolutely ridiculous not to distinguish between wild caught, maricultured and aquacultured.

"but may also prohibit moving one of these corals from one tank to another, or even taking a colony out of an existing aquarium for treatment, ect., and replacing it in the same aquarium". What!!! Can you imagine getting busted for doing a furan treatment. They'd rather let zoa pox KILL your colonies than to save them. Then they say they're trying to save corals. There should be laws against proposing stupid laws!
