Is there any place local to get a lot of reef-quality calcium-based sand that is cheaper than CaribSea or local fish store prices?

I have read some other threads about finding it at home depot and local cement / gravel yards. Have any of you found a place local to get it cheaply in large quantities for setting up new tanks with deep sand beds?

So far I'm finding $40 pound bags for $60. I don't need it to be live sand.

Keywords: DSB, Aquarium sand, aragonite, silica sand, oolite, sugar sand

A few years ago Mike O'Brien bought a pallet of Southdown bags, and he sold the extra bags he didn't need to reefers in the area. You might want to contact him to find out where he ordered it from, and then make arrangements here to get people to take the excess.
