Do not buy that dig TSS. They do not know what they are doing. I have tried to tell them how to make it into a nice meter. They have never replied to my e-mails as to why their meter is such a mess. That meter is not a refract but a conductivity meter, that has all the wrong stuff programmed into it.

Boomer,
could you tell what's actually wrong with it?

This is the refractometer that I bought. It has been absolutely troublefree and it is accurate. It has ATC and you can calibrate it very easily. It came with a case and dropper. Very nice for the little dollars.

I purchased model A100ATC

It has been rock solid and a good performer. I don't think you can go wrong.

I agree that you can't go wrong with a refractometer, I have this one: http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem.asp?idproduct=MD2101 it is solid and easy to calibrate and use, also comes with the dropper, screwdriver and case just like the one Pat offered up. Once I received my refractometer I tested it against my swing arm hydrometers and found that all of my swing arms were off consistantly at .005  !!!!! You can't go wrong with a refractometer, I haven't used the one you listed but would personally stay away from any "all in one" type probe.
