Removing transformer on Tunze

I don't own Tunze yet, but was planning on getting the 6100. I know the only difference between the 6000 and 6100 is just the transformer. Now I want to use the 6000 on the current system and have capability to upgrade to 6100 on a larger system in the future. Can I just get the 6100 and remove the transformer to use it as 6000 for now, or would I be missing something? If this is do-able, I rather buy 6100 than to get the 6000 and add the transformer to make it 6100.

I'd just get the 6100 and turn it down if you think there is to much flow for your current system and back up when you upgrade.

You can adjust the speed down to as low as the 6000 without long term negative affects?
