Can anyone help?
I have taken over the maintenance of a marinefish and reef tank.
It houses various anenomes, 3 x tomato clowns,1 x yellow angel, 1 x blue tang and 2 x red ribbon slugs. The ribbon slugs have now turned transparent - do I need to remove them from the tank or is this normal behaviour? The blue tang has not been well but I have been treating the tank with myxacin.
Any advice would be welcome.

Welcome!!!

how long have the slugs been in the tank? most slugs are short lived. most slugs also have very specific diets. without a pic of the slug than we can not tell what exactly it eats. if you did not get any specific instructions on feeding the slug, then it is my guess that the person before you did not know how to feed it either.

Welcome to Reef Frontiers!!

Can you give us a little information about the system as well? Size of the tank, and possibly what the water parameters are testing?

Nice post G~

Thanks for the replies. The slugs started to disintegrate so I had to remove them. The tank is fine now and all parameters are normal. An unsolved mystery!
