Ricordea Mounting

How long does it take for a ricordea to attach itself to a rock before the netting that is holding it in place can be removed?

I tried this many times with no luck. Finally I just stuck it with a toothpick and within a couple of days it was attached to the rock.

I never had any luck with the netting either. The toothpick works and if you have any rock material left on the bottom of the ric you can tap it dry a little and do the same to the rock and glue it.
