rinsing sand

Hi! I'm sure I'm making this more difficult than it is, but, does anyone have any tips on the easiest way to rinse sand to add to an existing tank?

I just fill a 5gal bucket with water add the sand to it stir it around and then use a kitchen strainer and cup to scoop it out into a seperate bucket then Place it into the tank, I just read a few minutes ago that using a long piece of PVC pipe and pouring the sand into it will help from clouding the tank when you pour it in.

Pretty much what was already said. 5G bucket, use your sink's spray nozzle to really rinse it. I like one of those long funnels with a piece of 1" clear hose on the bottom to direct it where you want it, without covering everything with snow. It helps alot.
