OK not sure exactly how to clearly word this but I'll try. I just bought a 6 stage RO DI (Water General 106) system. There are many water lines. One for the water coming from the fauset, another for water going into a storage tank, another for waste water, another for drinking water, and lastly a line with water for the aquarium. My question... Why are there seperate lines for drinking and for the aquarium? Why are they seperate? Thanks.

Looks as if the "aquarium line" does not run through the 6th stage (carbon) but through the DI cart.

As in why...
I guess it depends on if there is a carbon block in 2 or 3
I wouldnt run it through the last carbon cartridge if is has already been sqweezed through one. And I use carbon in the tank anyways.

I would asume they have a method to their madness

Because some people will have a large storage tank for their ro/di water that fills and stops with a float switch.

So then I shouldn't put both lines into the a water container??

No. They have it set up to be multi purpose. People are not supposed to drink rodi water so they split off a drinking water line.

Waste goes to drain
Faucet goes to supply
Tank goes to a pressure tank
Aquarium goes to what ever you put your water in
Drinking is left in case you want to fill drinking water containers

Yeah, what Don said.

RODI tastes funny but is better for your tank.
