I'm a little confused. The ROWAphos is sold in 250ml, 1/2 liter, 1 liter packages, but the amount to use is 1 gram per gallon. Isn't gram a weight measure and liters a volume? So how much of this stuff do I use. The obvious answer is 90 grams, but I don't have a scale to measure that.

I hope I'm not being stupid  and missing the obvious

Katrina, you can pick up one of those small food scales at the store (grocery store). I believe they measure in grams. And, yes, litres = a measure of volume

Heres the information I have from Warner Marine
250ml (8oz) treats 125 gal.
500ml (16oz) treats 250 gal.
1000ml (32oz) treats 500 gal.
I do believe the Warner Marine product is the same so the usage should the same, although I don't think the amount you use is important. You need to be more concerned with the amount needed for your particular situation. If you have a very high levels of phosphates and your using a small amount of product then the product will "fill up" quickly and no longer be able to remove phosphate. If you use a large amount of product and you have low levels of phosphate then it should last longer. Once it has become saturated it will have to be recharged or replaced that part I don't know. Maybe you know or someone that has experiance with Rowa can say how you know its has reached saturation.

Please teach me where you add this and what it is? I know very little about phospate reactors. Are you using this like charcoal or other filter media? I have used the salifert phosphate eliminator.

It doesnt really matter how much you use. the stuff will take X ammount of I phosphate out of Y ammount of water. So you could put 20 lbs in their it would just last longer.
