Rusted fragging tools

I'm lazy, so I used my tweezers and my bone shears but I did not rinse them or dry them. Now they are rusted shut.

I normally soak rusted tools in WD40. I know that is unacceptable for tools being used in a reef tank. Is there any options other than the trash can?

I soak mine in vegetable oil

I also soak them with dawn dish soap
