Salt, water, and fish are in the nano!!!

Well, kinda :shock: :lol: I am curious on your thoughts on the tank. I am wrestling with 2 options...

(1) Build a canopy that hides the skimmer, lights and the side compartment that's painted black so all you see is the display area.

or

(2) Just build a stand and set it up as is in the picture where you can see everything including the lights suspended over the tank by cables.


In one way I kinda want to hide all the stuff for a cleaner look, but then again I like the idea of seeing it all, but not too sure if it will look junkie plus I think the tank will stay cooler this way... Thoughts?

In addition, if anyone has a tank with no canopy with their lights suspended, could you send me a link to it or post the photo here? Would like to get some visuals of a tank without a canopy with the light fixture suspended. Thanks

I think I'd set it up, as is, and suspend a light. Building a canopy, that hides the skimmer, may keep you from doing maintenance on the skimmer, as often as you should.

This is going to look awesome, once you have it up and running!!!

Sid, well my OCD won't allow me to leave the skimmer more than a day so hiding won't be a problem, but liking the idea of open AS for those goldfish, I agree. After eating about 5 of them, I'm ready for water!! :shock:
