I think I saw "for lease" signs up on the saltwater city building in bellevue as I was driving by a few days ago. Anybody know what is up?

Thanks!

Well, you can't assume that...a better location may be a cheaper location.

Hopefully their new place will be nicer, getting into their existing store was kind of a hassle. Though the store itself wasn't too bad.

They used to be the best palce around. From what I hear, this is far from the truth at this time.

yeah, being located next to a ferarri dealership never made sense to me. maybe that's why their prices were always so high. frankly, and i never shy away from being frank, they have sucked for a couple years. i've witnessed a general decline that has gotten progressively worse. the turnover has been high as well. i think the quality of animals is now worse than the fish store, although i'm sure the customer service could never be as bad as the fish (get 'em yourself) store. i believe trev has enough sports millionairs on the east side interested in home maintenace to keep him happy. i bet the decline of the store front is in direct relation to the increase in his maintenance business.

I was in there just this past weekend and they told me that they were running out of power in that building and that was the reason for their move. Better location..maybe we will just need to wait and see.

YOu know there used to be this saltwater/reef store by the SEars store on Aurora/Hwy 99. That was about 7 years ago. I have no clue where it went. I'm definitely sure it wasn't Aquarium Concepts. I think a guy named Steve used to run it.

My dad used to work for wholesaler in Bali, diving and getting the fish, etc. He also worked on location in Los Angeles, doing the plumbing, etc of the tanks. To this day, he's still in awe at how this business is still growing strong, after telling me he sees tons and tons of piles of dead fish wholesaler gets from South Pacific/Asia. Large angels...dead...etc etc..

Sorry for the rant, i'm just curious to know what the name of that place is by Sears that is now gone. Well long gone. Last time i checked was 5 years ago, and it already wasn't there.

The place by Sear's was Indoor Ocean, which began in a house and flourished. They began to decline. Never an owner by the name Steve, maybe Dave? It moved to the place by Sear's before Central Market was a twinkle in Thriftway's eyes. They began to decline and moved again to a place just north and on the opposite side of Aurora where they finally went out of business.
