I have my new/used 125 all plumbed and almost ready for the big swap.
I am sanding and polishing the entire inside.
Started with 220 sanding disk on the deep scratches.
Then 400, 600, 800. 1000, 1200, 1500 and 1800.
It is not clear yet, but my arm is really sore.
Next comes 2400, 3200, 3600, 4000, 6000, 8000, 12000 grit
Everything from 400 up has been wet sanded on a random orbit electric sander.

So far, it is looking pretty good. Just can't wait for it start to get shiny. I have read that starts after 3200 grit paper. Now to rest my arm for the night.

Unless you have really deep scratches I would start at 600 grit dry sanding. Then start wet sanding around 2000 grit. I used sandpaper from a local auto parts store that only carries up to 2500 grit. I used the method stated and got a crystal clear tank. Once satisfied I used Novus 2 and hand polished the 180 Gallon Tank.
