i have a couple of damsels and a bandit shark, i was planning on buying some Sea anemones. But after reading online, i read that they are poisonous. Now i have a couple questions.

1) Now im worried about what happens if i get stung?
2) Im also worried about the fish and am wonderig if my fish are going to be safe(damsels and bandit shark)?
3)Im also wonderig if the bandit shark is going to kill the Sea anemone?
4) Does the Sea anemone require alot of light?
5)What temp do Sea anemone's like?

more details are needed about your tank.... and what you want to get specifically...

ive never got stung.. but ive nasty pictures of swollen hands and arms.
anemones eat fish... mainly sick dieing ones... for the most part 90% of fish know that anemones= death...

Im not fermillar with the bandit shark since i dont know alot about fish... but i do know sharks require large large tanks and eat other fish... so i would reserch more b4 that...

there are anemones that dont require as much light as others... but they do require established tanks and pristeen water condtions

good luck

I have been stung many times. For me it is like a bee sting. However, it is different for everyone, and also different among different anemones.

The damsels will be fine, I know nothing about the bandit shark. It is possible the shark will kill the anemone.

Anemones do require quite a bit of light.

I find that anemones do best at temps around 78-80.

As stated above, anemones need established tanks, 6 - 12 months old is best.

As already stated, sea anemones require a bit of care. I would strongly urge you to really research their requirements long before getting one. You can find loads of threads here, and information in our research library to help you. If a proper system is set-up to suit their needs, then they can be kept and enjoyed successfully. Wearing gloves will help if you are sensitive (like me) to anemones or other corals.

Hope this helps.
