They are in Kent and if you contact them you'll find that they're running this out of their house, as they don't have a brick and mortar storefront. They have website up and running, accept PayPal, and have frags for $9.99. What's not to like? I hope it works out for them and they're able to offer a greater variety in the future. I certainly plan on making a few purchases.
That is all good I guess. Hopefully you paid sales tax on the purchase. All Washington state based businesses be it home based, web based or otherwise has to collect state sales tax on all purchases made in the state. Hate to see a good business go under because of not paying there state and federal taxes for their business.

If they are listed as wholesaler they are not required to as they would be considered selling a product for a future resale. In their case i'm not sure as they apear to sell both wholesale and retail.

Thats not exactly true. Their wholesale customers would be reselling the product and not pay tax. Their in-state retail customers should pay state sales tax. Only someone who buys a product strictly to resell, and has the proper state resellers/business license should not pay tax.

right, that's why I wasn't sure because of the fact that they sell both wholesale and retail. I own a construction business and have had some experience with it and dealing directly with the DOR due to problems I had with it.

Cy is correct. Only when a business buys or purchases corals or the likes with the intent to wholesale shall the business be exempt from collecting state sales tax.
And either way the business should or needs to have the proper business licenses in place. In this case Seattle Aqua Farm would need to have Washington state department of revenue tax id # and also should have a city of Kent business license. Might be others to being wholesale and all, don't really know that.

so far this is saltwater buisness #2 i have seen pop up near the kent Federal Way area in the past 6 months. The first was http://http://www.myspace.com/aqexotics they used to have a webpage and well that vanished a while ago. I wish both of them luck, i tried to get in contact with aquatic exotics to buy stuff and that didn't really happen. I'm gonna try to make a purchase from these guys too and see what happens.
