I'm going to be honest and completely of my own free will here.

My bf and I went and spent time with this couple this evening who work out of their home... they are the best dealers I have ever personally encountered and you can buy great live rock for $4.50 a pound.

Now, as a Seattlite I will always be adament about supporting small businness and so I encourage you to check them out if you need or want anything. ;)

Shelly and Phil were so helpful. David and I spent 2.5 hours just laughing and talking in their basement. They answered all our questions, no matter how bizzare :), and they shared their many gorgeous tanks with us. They cure the LR themselves, they will trade corals, buy corals and other supplies for you... they're basically just amazing and helpful and real and fun people :) I can't stress how much you must call them if you need something.

Ah, thanks for that info. They must be responsible for the ad I see in the Seattle Times Classifieds now and then for the LR @ 4.50/lb. Nice.

Yeah... what kind of LR? What does grow on it? (pictures would be great of course :) ).

I'm all for supporting locals, but Tampa Bay Saltwater is the best in respect of LR as far as I know. At same price plus shipping you'll get rock with Loads of different forms of life on it (even corals).

Um... answers :)

It's real live rock, mostly tonga or fiji... they cure it themselves. The reason it's so inexpensive is because they pay so little shipping and because they work from home, most business expenses are avoided and they don't have to jack up the price.

Our rocks were covered in purple and green coralline algae. They were some gorgeous pieces too... I'll try to work the camera in there today and get some pictures up later :)

There was one piece with a tiny orange tonga tree coral on it that they gave to us for free b/c it was just on the rock :) That was my favorite part ;) They are really beautiful rocks too.

Yes i second the notion. They are very nice. I talked to them on the phone recently. Sounds like their in it for the fun!! Not the profit. I wish them all the luck in the world. :)

Hey folks they sound like real nice folks but lets keep this a little tamed back on the commercial posting please. Someone posting a great deal they got or a good store/dealer to work with is fine, But lets not get into andy advertizing please. Remember we do have sponcers that support the club to be able to post a banner ad here

Thanks alot.

Mike

I have also bought live rock and corals from them. They are great people and they have good prices.

Very nice people, I have bought & traded coral with Phil for a while.
If there is something that you are looking for they are more than happy to order it in. Not only they don't over inflate their prices.
