Short pulse

I set up my mp40s in anti sync mode lastnight. The master i have set on short pulse, wave mode. My question has to do with the warning in the book about the posibility of seal failure of the tank. Has anybody had this happen to them or is it an overkill warning?

Well, a fish tank is designed to hold water for a very long time if its taken care of properly. When you put power heads on a wave maker and sync them to make waves your creating a shock wave that puts stress on the joints every time the wave reaches each end of the tank. It will most definitely reduce the life of the tank. It may reduce a 20 year tank life to fifteen, or it may take a ten year span and reduce it to three. No one knows.
