Okay so I know that fish in fuge defeats the purpose of a fuge, but what about shrimp? particulairly pistol shrimp?

I have a deepsand bed in there and lots of rock but would like the bed stirred, so are they "fuge" safe or will they eat all the yummy pods i'm trying to grow in there?

:)

Good question...Not sure if pistol shrimps are notorious for eating pods. I would assume they would, but could be wrong. I know my coral bandit shrimp would eat any he could catch(LOL). I'm sure someone else will chime in soon:)

Sorry about your tiger shrimp, I have one in my display, he eats my high fins left overs and that's about it. ( i do think he ate the dead fish i couldn't find)

I've seen him throw living snails ( intruders) out of his tunnel, but I've never seen him kill anything that wasn't already dead. He's fine with my 2 peppermints ( who are much smaller then them) and my skunk cleaner shrimp, they even go into his burrow when there feeling riskey, but he just chases them out :)

I just don't know if they would hunt pods or just snack on them here and there if one lived in a fuge.

Well mine tiger was full grown and he got really picky after like 2 years.
the funny thing is he pair up with my Helfrichi Firefish and not my hi fin
