Are Ampmaster pumps pressure rated, like the 2100? I would like to use it from my return and T off of that to feed my skimmer.

TIA

Thanks, what would be a good option for a retrun pump that has similar amp ratings like the AM? I want to keep it an external pump as I want no pumps in the water. I want to run my AquaC EV150 skimmer off this return also. The return through the overflow is a single 1" at the moment. I have an Iwaki 40RXLT but is also a return pump, so I have two pumps that I cant use for my retrun. I guess I just might have to sell them. If I get another option together, I will post both pumps for sale.

TIA.

So why don't you want to use both the pumps? I would put that ampmaster on a closed loop, and use the iwaki for your return. Then pick up a smaller iwaki like the 20 for your skimmer. I am not sure what kind of pressure/ flow requirements your skimmer have.

I already have a AM3600 on my CL and bought the AM2100 with my tank. CAme across the 3600 from SalsaKing after I ordered the 2100. I just dont want to run 3 pumps, seems a bit excessive to me. Then there is the new theroy (to me) about having your skimmer pump pull from the "in" side of you sump, which would mean the need for three pumps. I dont know what to do  .

Thanks for the thoughts though.

^ Bump^ ;)

Anyone got some pump suggestions for me?

thanks
I will listem to submersible pumps too as long as they are not heat monstors.

sell the 2100 and rlxt40 and get a good preesure rated pump to run the skimmer and your return :)
Have any suggestions? Last pressure pump I used was a Quiet One on my 60.
I would like it to be pretty quiet as it will be in the living room.

thanks
