You will need two rubber pipe to pipe fittings, one piece of 3'' dia acrylic, one piece of 2'',(length will depend on pump size and volume of aquarium)a inch and 1/4 slip joint(for water height adjustment)1/2'' inside dia.Pvc,some 1and1/4'' sonna tube,1 inch and1/4slipto thread fitting,1 elbow slip slip, two slip to slip 1/2'' fittings,a slotted gasket(rubber)and a needle wheel pump or mazzi injector.Rather then go into a lengthly how to,i will just provide a pic.I went with a Cora-life needle wheel pump.I almost forgot. The collection cup will be made,by drilling the bottom out of a 5 dollar sealable plastic jar available a Wall-mart and a old gravel syphan tube.

I would be interested in the lengthy how to :D. I am thinking about adding a sump to my 46g bow just so I can quit using the HOB skimmer I have, which although it always produces skimmate it does not do it at a level I feel is efficient. I would be interested in learning how this was put together and how well it works.
