ehh whats the point. is it something that stays on or is timed to clean automatically or just something you turn on when it needs it ?

That is very neat but I think that would make me lazy and neglect my skimmer and in that time something might go wrong before I check on it.

those have been out on the bubble kings for awhile now havent thing?I dont mean that they come standard on them but they have been available for a while.

Yea they have been out around a year pry. Thats as much as alot of people pay for there skimmer. I don't mind cleaning mine once a week. I'm not that lazy. I'm sure the argument will be the skimmer will work this % better with a clean neck 100% of the time vs x % of time. We all know how winshield wipers work though......having to replace the blade from time to time.

I clean the riser tube on my skimmer twice a day with a toothbrush. It takes about 15-30 seconds and sometimes I drain the skimmer collection cup, too. I am a hands on, check out the tank equipment kind of guy.

We get lazier and lazier as a human race goes LOL. I remember seeing something that some business man invented a suit that would allow you to go releive yourself without going to the bathroom. Now we have cars that park themselves. What will be next?

what I can't figure is that when that wiper goes around it dumps all that crap back into the body of the skimmer to be lifted back up again. Why not just remove it from the skimmer all together via true cleaning? On the site someone mentioned a wiper at an angle that would drive the gunk up and over the rim into the cup....that sounds like a good idea.
