Preferences wanted. I currently have a warner marine k2 with a psk is 2500 pump. It seems to be so so. I am looking at a bashsea twisted skimmer as well to replace it.

Tank will be a 120 heavy bioload. Dual 40b sump. Which skimmer would you run

The k2 will use less power with sicce pump, but it may an advantage to have external skimmer like the bashsea to save room in your sump if thats an option.

Heavy bio load... fish or coral too?
I like all my things internal or in my stand. Its my prefrence.

So internal or external? Hang on back?

Internal or external will work. WM is internal where the bashsea can be either I believe. No HOB.

Bioload is going to be from softies and lps, but it is a predator tank in the form of scorpion fish on the larger size.

Probably. There is another thread on the build part. That would be the WM k2. I books it up and got it running. Did a water change on a different tank and out that water in the sump to see it run again. It just doesn't perform the way I thought it would, even from when I got it.
