Skimmer for a 40 Breeder

I know there's quite a few of us, that have, or are considering setting up a similar system, so hopefully this thread will be beneficial to a lot of us!

I'm considering adding a skimmer, to my 40 breeder frag system. So, I figured I'd get some advice. At this point, I do not have a sump/fuge, but am considering adding one. I do have a CPR Aquafuge. So, I'd like to be able to consider both HOB and In Sump options. The tank has a minimal fish bio-load, but will be predominately SPS frags, along with some LPS and Zoanthids.

So, let's have some options!!

Hey Michael, I absolutely dig my HOB Eshopps 75 what a great lil skimmer for the $. When I change up to the new 125 I'm keeping it for a future frag tank and will utilize on a QT as well.

So far, for HOB versions, I'm leaning towards the SWC Mini HOT

In sump versions, I'm leaning towards either the SWC Xtreme 150 BMK or the SWC Extreme 120 Cone.

However, these may all be a bit overkill.

In the future, I'd be able to use any of these, in an upgrade, to a larger frag system.
