Skimmer has junk pics inside!

Saw that one of my snails made it into my cpr bakpak today lol, also i noticed "dirt " on the bottom? Is my skimmer not working properly? I do get alot of skim in the cup.
Just thought i would ask. Thanks everyone

its detritus build up... when i ran a cpr i had those stomellia snails re populate in my cpr up by the cup! It was kool. I would just rinse that out every now and again like maybe every other w/c or something.

just be glad its getting caught in your skimmer where its easier to clean than your sandbed

+1 about that. Wat size tank, wat u got for flow besides filters? Snails build their own shells. Ull get snail eggs one day on ur glass or somewhere.
