Skimmer Question

I am running a SWC-200 extreme with the mesh wheel in 10"of water. The skimmer has performed flawless up until 2 weeks ago. Now i have to turn the intake almost to close before it will produce any skimmate. Does this mean my mesh is worn down? Is this pretty close to how often i will have to replace the mesh?

how long has it been running?
did you take it apart and clean it, check for obstructions in the pump and venturi?

Sounds like two things may have happened. The sicce's are directional so if it runs one way it will pull round 20scfh and alot less water flow, the other direction is alot more water flow and alot more air. Unplug and replug. If thats not it run some hot water through the venturi line, and last resort pull out the pump and check it out. Pry the directional thing if i had to take a stab at it.
