Skimmer question?

I am building a frag tank. There will be no livestock just frags. Is a skimmer needed? Can i get away with biological filtration only like LR and macro algea in the sump?

if you do water changes you can as you will still feed them and a single fish will be ok as fish helps with the coral food!

if your doing sps, then you bet your bippy you need a skimmer on there...
if just softies then maybe no...
but no matter what kind of corals, it will keep the tank cleaner and mean less maintenance with a good skimmer and carbon.
