RF,

I got a bite to eat tonight at about 5:00, after sticking some acrylic together. Came back to the shop about 20 minutes later. Most of my dinner time was thinking of how I miss one of my favorite summer time activities. I leave the shop and there is a 1/2 of snow on my truck!
Here are a few pic's of my baby. Let's see who can pick out some mods that have been done to her!

I dropped off the Superbike to my mechanic to swap out my stock rear shock for a brand new Ohlins. I can't wait! He will also be installing a rare, Titanium height adjuster from Yoshimura that shaves off weight. Dave will also be installing some electronics as well. I had only a 1 week window to get this done, as he is booked for the next 16 weeks. I have had him wrench on my bike since 2008, and is very cool to see someone so talented, and passionate about Road Racing bikes, to be so in demand by so many pro racers. (and still has time for me) One of his race bikes took 9th place the other weekend at Daytona. This racer is very talented, and beat a bunch of big named racers. Close to 40 that qualified. I will have some pic's as soon as I get my little hands on this bike!

That ain't no lie! R1's are good bikes, but I have always run GSXR's. I keep the open throttle stuff to the track. It is real hard to restrain myself while on the street. I always seem to have muscle spasms in my right wrist? Have you experienced this? Seems to only happen while I'm riding. Someday, I'll take the Superbike, and a few sets of sprockets down to the Texas Mile, and see what she will do. That way you have a time slip to prove it. The next step is a set of Marchisini wheels. I think I will have to build a few more tanks to buy them. I should do a fund raiser! J

Hey Jason. your bike is super nice. i also have only had gsxr's. i started off with a gsxr 750. i have rode all of the other brands. gsxr's just fit me. then i stepped it up to a gsxr 1000. insane bike. loved that bike. i did sell a few years ago. it got me in trouble with the law almost every time i rode it. i had to get rid of it. it was going to kill me or coast me way to much in tickets. lol. you should let us all know when you race local. it would be cool to come see you race. have a good one and be safe.

Reefman, Cool, another rider on the reef forum! You may not believe me, but I have never had a ticket, not that I have never deserved it! I don't race, for one thing, I'm not that fast, and second, I can't afford the cost of tires. Fast guys will smoke a set of tires every 20 laps! 350-400 per pair is outside my wheelhouse. I had an 08 Ninja 250 for awhile, it was cool, but just too heavy and slow. If I was going to race, I'd roll a SV650 that my mechanic would race prepped. Much easier on tires, and if I toss it down the track, no biggie. Parts are cheap for the SV. I would like to get down to Shelton this year, they say it is a super sweet track. We will see. For any ladies that think Reef Tanks are expensive, try road racing! I wouldn't trade my bike for anything! Keep it on 2 wheels, most of the time, J

i dont know about that. i have lots of money in my tanks. lol. hey jason. i got to buy the tank that you made for the olympia fish store. the 8 foot by 4 foot tank. you made this tank so nice. i love it. its my dream tank. your the man

Peppie,

I have not, but I think with an experienced rider, and the front end squashed down, and the right rear sprocket, it should be a 9 second or slightly below, bike. I don't want to smoke a clutch to find out. I do know there isn't much with a license plate faster on the street.

Go buy a competitive racecar. Race it every weekend April thru Sept. And run in the top 5 every weekend. Then get back to me. LOL

It is like a therapy session when you can do something, and NOTHING else is on your mind except the tack at hand.

For a second I thought you were talking sailboats, when talking about tacks... Now there's an expensive hobby- sailboat racing. Ask me how I know ( but not how much I spent...like all hobbies it's Best to stay blissfully ignorant)
