Does any one here have this kind of LR? Is it nice?
I have a 60 gallon tank and I am wondering if 50 pounds would be enough to keep everything running smoothly or do I need more.
Here Tonga, I know its not the same but I thought you might want to see it before purchase of solomon type. I like it alot. There is a huge differnece in suppliers quality IMO. I will be gald to share mine if you like the look of the rock. Steve
Its all from Dave except the small piece upper right that is local. I save it from the old tank. Has my one pink and blue ric, my chunk of blue ridge, and my chunk of montipora I just couldn't part with it.
I have heard that Solomon Island Rock is not as porous as most other rocks but it is loaded with life. I bought a peice of kaelini rock locally and it has some of the nicest colors of coralline I have ever seen (bright pinks and orange). I want to use a tooth brush to scrub it and hopefully spread it to other rocks.
Just a side note, might check out www.mdmaquatic.com as they seem to have some pretty respectable prices on live rock at the moment. I am hoping to make a 100-150 lbs purchase in the next 4-8 weeks. I will more than likely get the Kaelini and some Tonga Branch or Tonga/Eva.
