i want to make a spray bar off of my coralife super skimmer, so i don't have to use the skimmer box and have that much more equipment in my tank, are there any particularly good brands that work well? also do they create bubbles and/or noise, i've never used one before so i'll have a lot of questions like these
Andrew

Andrew, I'm not familiar at all with the coralife skimmers, but is the skimmer box you are trying to get rid of on the input of the skimmer or the exit?

it catches the bubbles of the output, which is 1" pvc piping size, so i was thinking of doing the mod, or trying to make up my own spraybar something of the likes, as for the coralife skimmer it is much better then my seaclone... but that's not really saying much

 Hey man...Seaclone is Petsmart's top seller!

Ahhh...Yeah, a spray bar type thingy should do the trick. I would assume you don't mind seeing pipe then? I guess if the pipe is long enough and there are enough holes it it then it shouldn't be noisey. I guess I'm gonna have to go look up your skimmer to see what it looks like now(LOL) I think I have an idea though...Best of luck!:)

Andrew, Ive got the ss65. Mine doesn't have any pressure on the return to speak of so a spray bar will be more like a trickle bar. I suppose you will get some bubbles but maybe not as many as through the return box. For only about $5 worth of pvc it may well worth the try. Let me know how it works, i would love to get rid of that big ugly box in my tank too. I made a surface skimmer attachment for mine with some pvc fittings. I can post some pics if your interrested.
