sps coral growth rate effected?

I just bought two new 400 Watts MH gonna switch out the one i got and use for a frag tank, but its currently running 20k bulb...just wondering would it slow down my growth rate by alot?

Hello,
That really depends on the ballast you are driving it with and the distance the corals are from the bulb. The coral coloration will be better on average with higher kelvin bulbs.
