Your best bet would be to post this question in the 'SPS corals with Kevin Pockell' forum. It sounds like it may be RTN in which case you probably will want to frag it before its to late. You should provide a brief description of the location of the coral, what type of lighting, flow etc.. its under, and most importantly what are your water parameters currently?
 
Typically when browning or bleaching from the bottom, it is getting less light than it was used to. Rapid Tissue Necrosis is different than gradual bleaching while still growing at the top.
