My CA reactor was down for 1 weeks due to the pump failure. During that time, one of the maxjets were down for 1 weeks due to the suckion cups issue. Now most of the SPS that I got recently turned white. I already tried to frag it to keep the good part but not help. I tested the water, everything looked good just the alk little low, 8.2 at that time. CA is 420, Alk is 9.2 and PH is 8.2 now.

What I don't understand is all my caps, pink poloilopora and a green slimer are doing fine. Do you think it is circulation issue or alk issue. I do dose kalk every other day and running phos. reactor 24/7.

Currently the spraybar and 3/4 seaswirl are running by 2 Iwaki Mak4. I plan to replace the Seio with a 1/2 seaswirl that run by a Rio2100 to get better flow. Do you think it is a good idea?

With the little information it does not sound like either a flow or alkalinity problem but rather a problem with new corals acclimating to your system. This can happen when the conditions vary too much from the system they came from.

Could be a lighting issue. How different is the wattage on your tank from the system they came from? Did you mount them high up in your tank immediately? And more importantly, did these corals actually die (tissue loss, algae growing skeleton, etc.) or just bleach? I've had corals bleach white due to 'light shock' then eventually regain their color...though sometimes their color was a different one.

Well said Michael.
IME lighting shock is the most common reason for bleaching and RTN in newly introduced SPS corals. After about 4-5 months in your system they seem much more resistant to lighting changes.

Kevin
