Well, Here she is. Finally got around to getting these pictures up. My first SW tank! It's been a long time in the making, so just getting to this point with water in it feels like a success! I do have quite a few more pictures. I'll add some more as I go.
I used 3/4 inch oak veneer plywood for the stand. Found the plans for the stand online. I made a couple of modifications though. Since the sump was going down in the garage below the tank, I wanted to be able to use the stand for storage. So I added a piece in the middle to help support the tank and allow me to place a couple of removable panels. So the front half can still be used for storage (aka toddler toys) and when I need to get to the plumbing and bulkheads, I can take out the panels in the cabinet and have a look.
The tank and sump I found on craigslist. A guy up the street was upgrading to a 200 gallon. So I picked this one up on the cheap. It's 60"x20"x18" comes to 95 gallons I think. Actually did a fair amount of scratch removal. The lower 8 inches or so was pretty scratched up. Looked like maybe an urchin or something?? Something with some teeth or claws. I don't know what it was but it left a little trail of scratches all over. Anyhow, got it all polished up. Replaced the bulkheads with fresh ones. That was about it for the tank.

A picture of the bottom of the stand, you can see the partition running down the middle with the holes for plumbing going into the garage.

Ordered the cabinet doors from a millwork shop. MDF panels since it's all getting painted anyways.

Decided to put some supports in under the tank. Just wasn't sure, so thought better to be safe than sorry. The tank is sitting up against an outside wall on the house, but it's running parrallel to the joists and lands in the middle of a 12 foot span. So, like I said, better safe than sorry.

Completed cabinet and tank with water.

The 'heart' is down in the garage. RO/DI unit fills 50 gallon barrel that's is out of the frame to the left. 2nd barrel for mixing water. In the near future these two barrels will be plumbed for auto top off and to help with water changes. Panworld external pump sends water back to the top. Excess flow from the pump is bled off and split some going to the refugium and some back to the sump. And got a couple of the Reef Keeper modules plugged in down here also. This picture is a week old. It looks a lot better now. Was able to clean up the chaos of wires. Think that covers it. I'll post some more as I add new parts and livestock! Can't wait!
