Sudden disappearance of Macros in sump

Two days ago I had a healthy stand of Caulerpa in the sump and this morning it is gone. No white cloud, no sign of reproduction. Just some mushy green stringy stuff.

I do have a increasing red slime algae problem and the Yellow Polyps stopped extending yesterday.

I did feed some finely shopped shrimp about 3 days ago.

Any advice before massive waterchanges?

You dont really need a cloud as a sign that the algae went sexual. What kind of calurpa were you using?

Most likely Caulerpa taxifolia in the sump with 18hr of light (reverse cycle).
