Hi everybody. I got a used cpr overflow, 1400gph, but its the old style with no screen in the entrance. Both of my tank raised 34.99 black occe. clowns went down the overflow together to a horrible death in a 100 micron filter sock. Did I mention Both of them. Very very sad. I loved those fish. They had even just started to adopt my seabae anm. So that leads me to my question. What do you all recomend for screening. I know window screen is to small. and bird netting is to soft and would just trap the fish. Any ideas? I said a short ulegy and fed them to my chickens. At least some good came of them. :(

I use a plastic Mesh that is found at most craft stores. It runs $1 for a sq. foot. Sturdy enough to withstand any flow and big enough holes to only keep out the larger objects like fish and snails.

I use rain gutter guard plastic mesh. I have a 20' roll. PM me your address and I'll send you some (it's the same thing CPR uses).
Very sorry to hear about your fish :(

Regards,
Kevin

hey steve, sorry about your loss. we all gotta lose a fish or two once in a while. its what happens i guess. what about using egg crate to fashion a "C" shaped fence with silicone? i dunno first thing that came to my mind.

Thanks Everybody. Kevin is hooking me up with gutter gaurd so soon there will be no escape. My niece is addicted to finding Nemo so maybe they were just influnced by bad examples on t.v. LOL. Thanks again everybody. Most people don't understand how attached to fishes some of us get. Steve
