Hello all. I have 50gl. tank that I want to put a sump underneath. I have a small tank that I'm going to use for the sump. I want to put some deviders in it so can can have a small fuge it. I need some help designing it. The sump tank measurments are 12" wide x 16.5" tall x 29.5" long. I'd like to have what i think are called over unders to help with bubble control. If any one can hep with how high and how deep these should be it would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks
Gary

there are a lot of considerations you need to address first. how high will the water rise in the sump when the power goes out? so you do not overflow the sump and make a nice pond on the floor. this will help determine the max water height you can have in the fuge.

why do you want a fuge? i have found that they are highly overrated. i would just use the extra length for better bubble control.

make the overs about six inches more if you want a dsb. Place the unders a bioball distance away from the overs that way you can add the bioballs to help with bubble reduction. Let me know if you need anymore help with the desighn I can send you a diagram in Word.
