This might be a silly question, but I was wondering if there is a proper place to store aquarium supplements once opened? I suppose for dry supplements, as long as they are kept free from moisture, it doesn't matter, but what about liquid additives? Is there a proper place to store them to get the most out of their shelf life? Is room temperature storage fine, away from the tank? Is the moisture and temperature in a tank stand even an issue? I don't keep my supplements (or test kits) in the stand, but in a separate closet away from the tank.

Well I do know this, if you keep, aragamilk in the back of a pickup truck, under a camper, and drive around with it, getting hot and cold, it turns into a jug of aragabrick. Sorta defeats the purpose.

I read on a bottle of calxmax buffer it needs to be above 60 or it will precipitate out, then it's toast. You don't want it too high either. I put mine on the basement floor and got lots of gravel... so I guess in the tank stand is not such a bad idea, or at least on a shelf off a cold floor. Food supplements need to be in the fridge, Lugols is in a brown bottle for a reason-needs to be dark... formalin needs to be in the dark as well and if it precipitates it's garbage.

It should say on the bottle if it needs to be in the fridge, if not I am assuming 60-75 degree temps are good. So many things react to light and so many bottles are ugly I would think a cabinet with opaque doors would be a good choice.
