This is my third time switching salts in my tank of just over 14 months old. The reason being, is because of salt availability. I started using Oceanic Natural sea salt, then switched to Ocean Pure which I liked, but is not carried locally, and now I'm going to use Instant Ocean. All my LFS's carry this salt and its reasonably priced.

I'm going to start with 10 gallon water changes weekly. Does that sound like too much or too little at a time? I was told to do little amounts at a time so I dont screw up anything. What do ya guys think?

by in bulk.... i know its a lot of money.... but face it... reef tanks are like a life long project....
so im sure your saveing somehow.

Dr Foster & Smith delivers IO super cheap, also Reef Crystals which is IO but more reef stuff!

Once in a while one of the local fish stores will sell IO for the same price as Dr. Foster & Smith, but most of the time I order it from Dr F&S.

You're not going to mess anything up doing regular water changes with a new salt (like IO.)
