I just installed Giesemann Aquablue + and it's very white. Is ATI Blue Plus more on the blue side?

Yes, the ATI Blue plus is very blue. I love it!

What combo are you running on your tank? I just got UVL Aquasunx1, ATI aquablue specialx2, and ATI blue plus x1. 54 watt. I am using all Giesemann bulbs now but will need to switch out soon. Also, how long before you switch out bulbs? i am going on 14 months and i don't see any slowing in growth or polyp extensions yet.

The Giesemann Actinic+ are the blue bulbs. I made the mistake of thinking Giesemann AquaBlue+ were the blue bulbs too, but they're white. Deceiving name.

The Giesemann Actinic+ bulbs are a deep blue.

The ati blue + are going to be your best blue bulb for looks and par. If you have a 4bulb fixture or retro a great combo that will give you great looks and good growth would be blue +, aqublue, 65k, blue +. It will look like a blue tint, 14k phoenix.
